4th International Handball Cup

--- The handball team Mladost from Resen is a young sport team formed in 2002. There are young athletes from 7 to 18 years. The purpose of forming this association is making the handball popular in Resen and Macedonia, correct psychological and physical development of the youth, mutual social life, keeping the youth from the street (keeping them away from smoking, alcohol, drugs etc.) as well as showing them the right direction to become exemplary and useful citizen of the society.

---One of our main purpose is to promote the handball and at the same time to increase the number of our handball friend all over the world. For that purpose in 2006 an international tournament "First International Handball Cup Mladost-Resen 2006" was organized. Second edition of this tournament was biggest tournament in this part of the Europe with participation of 45 teams from 10 countries from Europe (Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Croatia, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia). Third edition of this tournament was one of the best tournaments in this part of the Europe with participation of 30 teams from 8 countries from Europe (Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia).

---After successful organization of this tournaments , Handball club Mladost from Resen is organizing fourth edition of major international tournament " International Handball Cup Mladost - Resen 2009 " where we expected participation from great number of teams from Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Turkey and many other states from the world.

About Resen

---City of Resen is situated in lovely Prespa valley in Macedonia, 200 km from the capital city Skopje, between two major cities Bitola and Ohrid, and only 40 km from the Ohrid airport and 25 km from Bitola's railway station with extraordinary traffic communication and lovely situation with only 10 km from the coast of Prespa lake, which is 853 above sea water.

Resen is placed on the border of three states: Republic of Macedonia, Greece (40km from the nearest border crossing) and Albania (40km from the nearest border crossing).
